Scheduling and marking posts as posted

How an idea travels from your shortlist to a published post, automatically or by hand.

Every idea moves through a simple lifecycle: in the deck → liked → scheduled → posted. The Schedule screen is where the last two stages live.

Scheduling an idea

From any liked idea, choose when it goes out. Pick Automatic and Brandmundo drops it into the next open slot at a good time for that platform, spaced to match how often you said you want to post. Or pick a time yourself — the calendar and list show the best times to post each day as a gentle guide. Either way the idea moves to the Scheduled section, grouped by day, alongside upcoming holidays and your custom events so you can see your week at a glance. You can change the date or pull it back to your shortlist any time before it goes out.

Automatic publishing (connected accounts)

If you've connected an account in Settings → Channels — Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok or X — scheduled posts on that platform publish automatically at their scheduled time (within about five minutes). You can still edit, reschedule or cancel right up until it fires — and every scheduled post has a Publish now button if you don't want to wait. See Connecting your social accounts for setup and exactly which post shapes auto-publish on each platform (some shapes — LinkedIn polls, X threads, a text-only Instagram idea — stay on the manual flow below).

You can also publish the moment you finish writing: in the composer's save menu, pick Publish now to post a brand-new idea to every connected channel right away, instead of scheduling it for later. Channels you haven't connected are saved so you can publish them once they're set up.

If publishing fails — an expired permission, a platform hiccup — Brandmundo retries a few times, then falls back to the manual flow below: you get the normal “time to post” reminder, the post shows a publishing-failed notice, and you can retry or post it yourself.

Publishing manually (everything else)

On accounts you haven't connected — and for the post shapes that don't auto-publish yet, like LinkedIn polls, X threads or a text-only Instagram idea — you get a reminder when the post is due. Open the idea, copy the caption (and hashtags) and download or save the image, then publish it in the platform's own app. Mark the idea as posted — it moves to your Posted history with a timestamp.

Why marking as posted matters

  • Your Posted history becomes an accurate archive of what went out and when.
  • Posting is the strongest learning signal — recipes behind posted ideas are sampled more in future batches.
  • Home-screen stats (posts this week, next scheduled post) stay truthful.

Picking a good time

The scheduler shows per-platform best-time hints (for example late morning on Instagram, early weekday mornings on LinkedIn), adjusted to the time zone set in your preferences. Treat them as defaults, not laws — consistency beats perfect timing.

Does Brandmundo auto-post for me?

Yes, on any account you connect in Settings → Channels — Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok or X — scheduled posts go out on their own. Where a post shape isn't supported yet (or an account isn't connected), scheduling still organizes your queue and publishing is a quick copy-and-post step in the platform's app. Brandmundo never posts anything you didn't schedule.
