Generating ideas FAQs

Short answers to common questions about the idea deck and what to post.

Everything people ask about the idea deck — from “what should I even post?” to why engagement behaves the way it does.

Getting ideas

What should I post on Instagram?

The honest answer: a mix — behind-the-scenes, tips, customer stories, the occasional promo, and engagement posts like polls. That mix is exactly what Brandmundo generates for you, tuned to your business, so you never start from a blank screen.

What should I post on TikTok or LinkedIn?

Same idea, different clothes. TikTok wants raw and personal — process videos, day-in-the-life, quick tips to camera. LinkedIn wants substance — lessons learned, opinions about your craft, client stories. Brandmundo generates platform-native ideas for each, so a TikTok idea never reads like a LinkedIn post.

What are Facebook engagement posts?

Posts designed to be answered rather than just read: polls, this-or-that questions, fill-in-the-blanks, tag-a-friend prompts. They’re one of the three sources in every Brandmundo batch (we call them engagement plays), and they work on every platform — Facebook just rewards them most visibly.

How does Brandmundo come up with ideas?

Each batch blends three sources: proven recipes that work across social media, bespoke recipes invented for your brand, and engagement plays like polls and versus posts — all grounded in your brand profile.

Does generating ideas cost credits?

No. Idea generation is free on every plan — credits are only spent on AI images.

How many ideas do I get per batch?

Up to 24 per batch, and you choose the count in the generate panel. On the free plan you can see up to 20 ideas a month; paid plans are unlimited.

Can I get ideas for a specific holiday or event?

Yes — tap any occasion on your home screen or in Schedule → Events and the whole batch themes itself around it, with the angle adapting to how far away the date is.

Quality & variety

What if I don’t like any of the ideas?

Swipe them away — honestly. Every skip teaches the generator what not to make more of, so your second and third batches are noticeably more on-brand than your first.

Why do my ideas feel repetitive?

Usually a thin brand profile or unswiped cards piling up. Skip what you don’t like, rebalance your content mix in Settings → Preferences, and flesh out your posting playbook — there’s a full troubleshooting article in this collection.

Will the ideas sound like AI wrote them?

They’re written in your voice settings — tone, emoji style, "I" vs "we" — and grounded in your real products and audience. And you can always edit or one-tap-rewrite any caption before posting.

Strategy questions

How does the Instagram algorithm decide what to show?

Platforms reward content that earns interaction quickly — saves, comments, shares and watch time. That’s why Brandmundo mixes engagement formats (polls, questions, versus posts) into your batches instead of only broadcast-style posts.

What is a good engagement rate on Instagram?

For small accounts, 1–3% of followers engaging per post is solid and 5%+ is excellent. Smaller accounts often beat big ones here — your audience actually knows you.

Why is my engagement so low?

The usual culprits: posting only promos, irregular cadence, and captions without a reason to respond. Mix in story and engagement posts, post consistently, and end captions with a genuine question — all things your generated batches are built to do.

Why are my TikTok views so low?

TikTok judges every video on its first seconds — weak hooks get cut off fast, and inconsistent posting keeps you out of the algorithm’s rhythm. Front-load the payoff, post regularly, and stay in one lane long enough for TikTok to learn who to show you to.

What is TikTok SEO?

TikTok doubles as a search engine — people search "haircut ideas" or "best café amsterdam" right in the app. TikTok SEO means putting those words where TikTok reads them: the caption, on-screen text and what you actually say. Generated TikTok captions lean on concrete, searchable phrasing for exactly this reason.

How do I go viral on TikTok?

Nobody can promise virality — anyone who does is selling something. What’s in your control: a hook in the first second, native-feeling content over polished ads, and consistency. The better goal is steady, compounding reach; virality is a lottery ticket you earn more entries to by posting regularly.
